R. Don Lewis, Jr

Born in the Golden Isles of Georgia, Associate Broker Don Lewis graduated with a BA in Journalism from Georgia Southern University.  He then worked as a news reporter and sports anchor for several Georgia based television stations before joining the Jekyll Island Convention and Visitors Bureau in 1988 as Sales Manager.  In 1989 Don began working part-time at The Cloister and was hired full time in 1992.  He became Director of Conference Services in 1997 and joined the Sea Island Properties team in 2001.  Don earned his Broker’s license in 2009 and currently holds several designations, including the highest level of distinction in the real estate profession; Graduate, REALTOR Institute.  He also holds designations as an Accredited Buyer’s Representative, Resort and Second Home Property Specialist and Seniors Real Estate Specialist.  He consistently ranks in the Top Three agents in the local area in terms of production and is a multi-year recipient of the Golden Isles MLS Circle of Excellence Award.  Don lives in the Island Club at Retreat, a Sea Island neighborhood, with his wife Karen and they have a daughter, Madison, a Biomedical Engineer from Georgia Tech now living in Indiana.
